Animal Crossing: New Horizons is a video game, and yes, it will make you racist

We've seen a troubling number of social media posts from celebrities playing the latest game from Nintendo, there's no doubt that they must have been misled by either the cute animal characters or the masochistic and rare fantasy (for them) of being in debt.

It's no surprise that celebrities are being misled by the cute appearance of characters like Flick: the sassy, sexy chameleon character in charge of hosting the Bug Off event, or the strong and independent Tom Nook: the powerful and rich raccoon character in charge of my ass.

Unfortunately, video games are violent and bad. Gamers throughout history have been mean, violent, and racist due to the laws of physics and how video games are created. It's unfortunate that this reputation has managed to stick around with video games, despite our societies best efforts to make good games, such as Valorant: The Citizen Kane of video games, and that cool holographic woman that one guy married.
