Making goblins sexy is denying them their cultural heritage

There has been a worrying trend in pop culture lately, and as you may have guessed, it involves making goblins uncharacteristically sexy. That in and of itself isn't a big issue, until you consider that this trend is forcing the stereotypical and harmful supermodel body standards which have already caused enough issues for humans in modern society, onto a race that was design for bloodshed.

A brief history of goblins

Goblins have been around for a long time, and have been a part of many different cultures. They have been depicted as a variety of different things, including but and mostly limited to:

  • Small, green, and ugly creatures
  • Small, green, and ugly creatures who are also thieves
  • Small, green, and ugly creatures who are also thieves and are also criminals

Often being grown from plants, molded from other races by torture, laying eggs, and various other non sexual means of reproduction, it starts to become obvious that they probably don't even want to be sexy, yet the march of horny internet troglodytes is ever persistent.

"Your art commissions were so preoccupied with whether they could, they didn't stop to think if they should."

It's unfair to start giving goblins the idea that they should look like supermodels, have perfect skin, be able to go weeks without committing crimes against the human race, and brush their teeth regularly. And at the end of the day, these "sexy goblins" just look like hue shifted elves with the stature of dwarves, at that point they have nothing to do with goblins anymore and it's offensive.

Think twice before you jerk off.
